KANGEN WATER IS AN ECO-FRIENDLY SOLUTION TO OUR PLASTIC CRISIS
Reasons to Avoid Bottled Water
Pollution
The entire life cycle of bottled water uses fossil fuels, contributes to global warming, and causes pollution.
More than 17 million barrels of oil are required to produce enough plastic water bottles to meet America’s annual demand for bottled water. - Earth-policy.org, “Bottled Water: Pouring Resources Down the Drain”
“According to the Container Recycling Institute, 86 percent of plastic water bottles used in the United States become garbage or litter.” - Earth-policy.org, “Bottled Water: Pouring Resources Down the Drain”
Cost
Bottled water is about 3,000 percent more expensive per gallon than tap water.
Tap water: $0.02 per gallon
Bottled water: $0.64 per gallon

MYTH: Bottled Water is Purer than Tap Water
“Bottled water generally is no cleaner, or safer, or healthier than tap water. In fact, the federal government requires far more rigorous and frequent safety testing and monitoring of municipal drinking water.” -foodandwaterwatch.org, “Take Back the Tap"
The Microplastic Controversy
Microplastics are also something to be aware of when consuming bottled water. They are plastic particles that are smaller than 1/5 of an inch or 5mm. Plastic products degrade over time from water, wind, sunlight & heat. Have you seen bottled water cases sitting outside the store in the sun? That is the perfect way for the bottle to break down & for you to drink microplastics in your water supply.
Microplastics have been found to contribute to health issues like cardiovascular disease, lung issues, gut microbiome disruption & can lead to chronic inflammation, learning disabilities & even lower sperm count & testosterone levels. They have been found in the placenta & even in breastmilk- meaning we have the ability to pass down this toxin to our babies! If this doesn’t make you rethink the water you consume, I don’t know what else will.
